Terms of Service

18+ This Service is only for persons aged 18 or older.

Governing law These Terms are governed by Norwegian law, without limiting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

Language The English version is the reference and controlling version. Translations are provided for convenience. If there is a conflict, the English version prevails, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

Consumer rights Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies you have under applicable mandatory consumer protection law, including statutory rights relating to conformity, price reduction, contract termination, refunds, or withdrawal, where applicable.

Moderation and appeals Chat may be reviewed with AI assistance whenever we determine that moderation review is appropriate, but significant sanctions require human moderation. You may appeal a suspension or ban by email at support@hng-group.com or through the Discord ticket system.

1. Agreement and scope

These Terms form a contract between you and HNG Group AS and govern your access to and use of Heroes & Generals, its software, accounts, websites and related official services (the “Service”). Third-party services may have separate terms. By creating an account or downloading, installing or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. Your account is personal and may not be sold, transferred or shared where sharing is prohibited. You are responsible for activity through your account except to the extent it results from circumstances for which you are not legally responsible.

3. Game licence and intellectual property

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable licence to install and use the Service for personal, non-commercial entertainment. The Service is licensed, not sold. HNG Group AS and its licensors retain all rights in the Service. Except where mandatory law permits otherwise, you may not copy, sell, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, modify or create derivative works from it.

4. User content and communications

You retain rights you have in content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, transmit and adapt that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and moderate the Service. You must have the rights needed to submit it. Do not submit unlawful or infringing content or another person's private information. We may remove or rename content that breaches these Terms.

5. Purchases and virtual items

Prices and applicable charges are shown before purchase. Payments may be handled by an external payment provider or platform. Virtual currency and virtual items are limited licence rights, have no cash value, are not property and cannot be redeemed or transferred except where the Service expressly permits. We may balance, modify or discontinue virtual content as part of operating the Game, without limiting mandatory consumer rights.

6. Refunds and withdrawal

Purchases are generally final except where applicable law or the relevant payment platform requires otherwise. Where legally permitted, requesting immediate supply of digital content and expressly acknowledging the loss of a withdrawal right may end that right once supply begins. This does not affect statutory remedies for content or services that are not supplied or do not conform. Refund requests may be submitted to support@hng-group.com or the payment platform used for the purchase.

7. Acceptable use

You must follow the Rules of Conduct, which apply to the Game and in-game communications and form part of these Terms. You must not cheat, exploit bugs, use unauthorized bots or automation, interfere with the Service, commit fraud, trade accounts or virtual content outside permitted systems, harass others, evade enforcement or facilitate prohibited conduct. The official Discord server has separate Discord rules; those Discord rules do not form part of these Terms.

8. Moderation, sanctions and appeals

We may review chat, account information, reports and relevant context whenever we determine moderation review is appropriate. AI tools may assist human moderators but are not the sole basis for a significant decision. Depending on severity, repetition, context and evasion, we may warn, restrict chat, remove or rename content, suspend or permanently ban an account. Significant account sanctions are subject to human review. Appeals may be submitted to support@hng-group.com or through the Discord ticket system.

9. Updates, availability and changes to the Game

We may update, patch, balance, secure, maintain, replace or change the Service and its content. Interruptions and errors may occur, and continuous availability is not guaranteed. We may discontinue all or part of the Service. Any such action remains subject to rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account closure through support@hng-group.com. We may restrict, suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, legal or security requirements, risk to users or the Service, or discontinuation of the Service. Provisions which by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property, liability and dispute provisions, remain effective.

11. Warranties and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is prohibited. For consumers, we remain responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach as required by applicable law.

12. Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. External stores, payment providers, platforms and links are operated by third parties and may be governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, technical or operational reasons. We will publish the revised Terms and provide reasonable notice of material changes where required. If applicable law requires your consent, we will request it. If you do not accept a change, you must stop using the Service before it takes effect.

14. Governing law, disputes and contact

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or access to competent courts available under the law of their country of residence.
